Explore the Wahiba Sands Desert – home of the traditional Bedouin tribes of Oman – on a safari with an overnight stay. Drive through the sand dunes in a 4x4 vehicle with an experienced local guide and get to know the Bedouin community. The tour begins in the morning by taxi with the journey through the Hadjar Mountains, the Al Aqq Wadi and further over the desert plains to the cities of Ibra and Al Qabil.
Head to the Bani Khalid Wadi and enjoy a leisurely stroll along a riverbed. Relax and cool off in the mountain pools of crystal clear water. Bani Khaled Wadi, a natural water pool deep in the mountains, is one of the largest wadis in Oman.
In the afternoon discover the first dunes in Bediyah. Drive to the Wahiba Sands Desert and experience a beautiful sunset. Afterwards enjoy a buffet dinner with local and international delicacies. Relax by a campfire under a starry sky. After breakfast the next morning head back to Muscat to your hotel or the harbor.
